Hi: Just a few pictures of an outing I was on Saturday, May 24, 2003, on Mingus Mountain with the Mingus Gem & Mineral Club. This location is known for jasper and hematite. The hematite is thick--not just a coating like that in Milton, Vermont. This location is near Jerome, Arizona. This material makes interesting banded specimens. Have a good collecting season. Regards to all club members, Gene Stiles |
